A Valentine's Day Ecard to Save the Day

Saturday, April 11, 2009

Is there someone special in your life that you want to let know how you feel, but you're too shy to tell them? With Valentine's Day coming up, the pressure is on. You need to tell them before it is too late and you have to wait another year!

Lucky for you, this year you've got a secret weapon. That's right, now you can send free Valentine ecards to your secret crush. You won't need to worry about what to wear or what to say; the ecard says it all for you.

For those of you who don't already know, ecards are greeting cards that you can send to people through their email. All you have to do is find an ecard website (there are many to choose from), choose an ecard, and enter in somebody's email address. The website does it all for you; it has the picture, the text, even the music, if you choose one with sound. Or, if you don't have anybody to send one to, you can just put in your own email address, and you'll have a nice little surprise the next time you log in.

Of course if you want to personalize it, at least a little bit, there are ecards you can choose that are basically templates for you to write whatever you want; they just have a picture on them, or a nice background. You won't ever have to worry about finding a good one, because there are so many to choose from.

There are funny cards, serious cards, birthday cards, and 'just because' cards. For Valentine's Day, you can choose from cards that are more intimate for serious relationships, or you can choose from cards that are meant for any kind of relationship, whether it's family or a friend.

You don't have to worry about claiming brownie points for a good ecard either; the receiver will see that the ecard is from you! Unless, of course, you're sending love ecards to your skeleton in the closet crush and you don't want them to know it's you.

You can choose to make your ecard anonymous, or you can put a fake name. Then when the receiver checks their email, they'll open up a colorful Valentine's Day ecard gushing with unidentifiable love and adoration.

They won't know it was from you until you want them to know and you no longer need to worry about telling them in time for Valentine's Day. You could also put a name that only your crush would recognize, some kind of inside joke or shared experience. That way, if you don't get the response you were hoping for, you can deny that it was you. The name was just a coincidence, obviously.

The card will tell them how you feel, and you can choose to let them know it was you whenever you feel comfortable. The pressure is off your chest and the extreme need to say it is off your mind. by Sarah
